I am really excited to introduce you to the "Junior of the Month", Kalp Mathur, age 10. I have had the pleasure of working with kalp since age 7. I remember when Kalp first started with the program and he doubted his abililty, but I continued to believe in him even when he did not believe in his self at times. I encouraged him not to give up and stick with it . He started in the beginning class and was moved up to the intermediate class in which he was very nervous. He told me he was intimidated by how good the players were and was not sure he was ready to move up. Recently, Kalp was moved up to the advance class. I recall a conversation we had. I told him, I will always praise effort, but will never tolerate giving up. I will never get upset at you for making mistakes, only when you do not try to correct them. Time passed, and he has improved tremendously. Nervous..? Who...? Kalp...? Not in the least. Kalp has improved in all areas of the game. A lefty, which is an advantage, Kalp now has great footwork and a great attitude to learning. He has become a well rounded player with a confidence level that clearly shows when he steps on the court. Kalp is a really kind and respectful kid. He is such an asset to our program. His best friend is Rohan Reddy, a former junior of the month, and a high skilled player in our program. I am proud to announce Kalp Mathur as "Junior of the Month".
